So many of the kids and adults we see with ADHD experience feelings of anxiety, depression, and inadequacy.  This is due to repeated failures that they experience while living with ADHD. Day after day individuals with ADHD are faced with ways that they have not been able to measure up or get the job done and often begin to wonder why they should even bother trying.  Many of the parents that call us call because they feel their child is lazy or is just not working up to their potential.  Imagine hearing this over and over but knowing that you really are trying you very best.  These feelings begin in childhood but can last long into adulthood.

Emotional Distress Syndrome is a real thing and it describes the stress related to living with ADHD.
