Sarah Hays, Ph.D.

Sarah Hays, Ph.D. is the director of the Austin location of Diagnostic Learning Services. 

Sarah attended the University of Texas and received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2005.  Following this, she worked as a first grade and third grade teacher for Austin Independent School District.  She then returned to school to attend Texas State University.  Sarah graduated with a Master’s degree in reading education in 2012.  She has experience working as a reading specialist and ESL teacher in an elementary setting as well as a secondary teacher for students with Dyslexia.

Because of her love of students with special needs, Sarah began attending Texas Tech University to pursue her doctoral degree in special education in 2016.  She is an educational diagnostician that is dedicated to evaluating individuals with disabilities and getting them the help they need to be successful.  Sarah plans to graduate Texas Tech University in spring 2022.

In her spare time, she is an avid reader.  Her favorite books include the Harry Potter series as well as Lincoln & Child mystery novels.
