Laurie Peterson is the Founder and Executive Director of Diagnostic Learning Services. In 1993 Laurie received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig Sooie). Her superpower is her diagnosed ADHD and that superpower fuels her love for helping others.
After spending 7 years in the classroom, she decided to return to school where she received a master’s degree from Texas Women’s University in Special Education with an emphasis on Assessment and felt the calling to help individuals as an Educational Diagnostician. She realized that one Masters Degree isn't enough for her and so she returned to school again in 2009 and obtained a second master’s degree in Professional
Counseling.
Laurie is also a National Certified Educational Diagnostician (NCED). Through the years of helping and assessing students from elementary age to college and adulthood, Laurie has become a well-respected and a sought-after voice on helping students, adults and educators. Her peers praise her ability to always see the bigger picture when it comes to identifying learning challenges. Laurie has always enjoyed the chances she has been afforded to speak publicly to professional groups and schools to share how they can better understand the needs of their students when it comes to learning disabilities such as Dyslexia and ADHD.
After many years as a Professional Golfer and years as a Professional Ice Hockey Official, Tim brought his love of helping people to Diagnostic Learning Services to dedicate his time to helping individuals and families overcome and thrive from their Learning Disabilities and ADHD.
He has 2 daughters of his own (Both have ADHD) and 2 step-sons and loves spending time with them and their many activities. Tim very much enjoys the time spent with his wife Laurie and their many activities together such as Golf and Hockey games.
Meet the passionate professionals behind Diagnostic Learning.

Lori has over 30 years of experience in education as a certified Texas Educational Diagnostician and also carries a Nationally Certified Educational Diagnostician (NCED). She received her educational diagnostician’s certification through Texas Woman's University and has a master’s degree in special education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Additionally, she has worked as an educational diagnostician for the past 20 years.
Prior to becoming a diagnostician, Lori was a special education teacher in various roles such as inclusion teacher, resource teacher, content mastery teacher, homebound teacher. Including time as a life skills teacher.
Lori is married with three adult children. She enjoys quiet devotional time, traveling, going on outdoor adventures, sports, watching good movies, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

Cristina graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. Beside her certification as an Educational Diagnostician, She has taught 4th grade Math and Science.
Through teaching Cristina always enjoyed seeing the many different ways her students learned and different accommodations her students needed to be successful. She decided to go back to school at Lamar University and earned her Master's degree in Special Education. Cristina worked as an Educational Diagnostician in school districts before taking a Director position at Diagnostic Learning Services in the summer of 2021.
She lives with her husband and twin toddlers, Luke and Bailey. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Keeli earned her master’s degree in Education from Sam Houston State University and completed her Educational Diagnostician certification through Lamar University. She spent years as a special education teacher and an Educational Diagnostician in the public school systems, working with a wide range of learners and supporting students with diverse needs to help them succeed academically and personally.
With her extensive classroom and evaluation experience, Keeli brings a thoughtful, learning-centered approach to every assessment. She values comprehensive evaluations that clearly identify learning needs and lead to practical, meaningful recommendations for students and families.
Keeli is happily married and the proud mom of 2 three-legged dogs. (Yes, you read that correctly) Her superpower is her joy and spirit are infectious to be around. In her personal time, she enjoys quilting, puzzles, gardening and Houston Texans football, Her favorite holidays are both Christmas and Halloween.

Suzanne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Angelo State University and began her career as a special education teacher. During her time in the classroom, she developed a deep appreciation for how differently each student learns and how powerful individualized support can be when it’s done well. Her experiences working closely with students and families inspired her to further her training and pursue a Master’s degree at Sul Ross State University, where she earned her certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
As an Educational Diagnostician, Suzanne has extensive experience conducting comprehensive evaluations, identifying learning differences, and helping individuals and families understand both their challenges and strengths. She is known for her thoughtful, thorough approach and her ability to explain complex information in a way that feels clear, supportive, and empowering for students and families. At Diagnostic Learning Services, Suzanne provides leadership to the DLS team while remaining deeply committed to delivering high-quality, individualized evaluations that clients can trust and understand.
Suzanne lives with her teenage daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time together playing volleyball. As both an educator and a parent, Suzanne understands the trust families place in Diagnostic Learning Services and is passionate about ensuring everyone feels comfortable, supported, and understood throughout the evaluation process.

Sydney came to our Diagnostic Learning family in early 2021 helping with 6-7 different day to day functions. It didn't take long before she became a bright shining star with the DLS team and now plays a pivotal role in only 19-20 key operations here. All kidding aside, Sydney loves helping support both clients and internal operations. She enjoys the chance to explain the evaluation process and additionally found a love contributing to website content, and marketing projects across Diagnostic Learning.
In addition to her numerous DLS roles, Sydney is an integral part of the Let’s Talk Learning Disabilities podcast, where she supports production and outreach efforts and is quite excited to see the global success that podcast has become.
Sydney was diagnosed with ADHD when she was 17 years old and uses her experiences to help others understand their own unique brains.
Sydney lives with her fiancé, Cooper, their two Boston Terriers, Molly and Toad, and cat named Princess Diana. She enjoys creative projects like painting, as well as Star Trek and video game marathons with her fiancé.

Tari was drafted in the 1st round by Diagnostic Learning Services. While she was the top of her draft class for her knowledge, calming phone voice and compassion, everyone at Diagnostic Learning considers her as the glue that holds it all together!
She received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Biology from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado.
Tari lives with her husband Robert, and French bulldog, Lulu. When Tari is not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, crafting, cooking, reading, watching sports, and traveling the world especially with her adult son and daughter: Bradley and Hayden.
