Evaluation Process for Adults

Once the evaluation appointment has been scheduled, we will begin to collect background information from the client so that we can plan for the assessment.

On the day of the assessment, as we work with the client, we closely watch how they are performing in each area, and when needed, we test further in an area of concern or weakness to ensure we are getting to the root of any struggles.

A follow up appointment is scheduled about 10 days after the assessment. During this appointment we will walk through the evaluation report and explain the results and discuss recommendations for school, work, and home. Our goal is to ensure that the results are understood and the client has a plan of action moving forward. We are always available to clients after the process is complete to answer any questions and serve as a resource when questions or concerns arise.

Evaluations are typically scheduled Monday through Saturday with some Sunday appointments available. An assessment can usually be scheduled within two weeks from the time you call.

Assessments can take anywhere from 3.5 to 4 hours depending on the type of evaluation and the pace of the client.
