Pearl Garza-Hinojosa, M.Ed., NCED
Pearl Garza-Hinojosa is The Director for Diagnostic Learning Services-Austin.
Pearl attended The University of Texas at Austin and received her Bachelor's Degree in English in 1998. Shortly after graduation, Pearl became a Secondary English Teacher and then transitioned into the field of Special Education in 2003. In 2012, Pearl earned her Master's Degree in Special Education with a certification as an Educational Diagnostician. In 2021, Pearl also completed the Principal Certification Program at Lamar University.
Pearl has spent over 20 years in various roles in Special Education. She has been a Special Education Teacher, ARD Facilitator, Diagnostician and Special Education Administrator. Most recently, Pearl's work has been focused on assessing students to determine what their individual needs are and what supports and services would be most appropriate for them in a multitude of settings.
Pearl lives in Austin, TX, with her husband Jesse, their son, Austin and their chihuahua, Paris Dior. She enjoys dancing, singing, travelling and watching all of the Hallmark Movies during the holidays.
